Welcome to Covenant Of Wise's, Lammas 2010!!!***

Come with us this year as we have our annual Talent show to the Gods, burn a Wickerman to our Gods, in honor of our Accomplishments, Feast, make music, and spin fire into the night! Lammas is the time of year when we tell the Gods how great we are. And this year we shall not disappoint.

Friday Night - Full Moon - 8pm

Sumbel

Following the birthday party, we will have a Traditional Sumbel, an Asatru Drinking Ritual.  In this ritual, we will ceremoniously drink from the horn and speak to the Gods.  Leraje has graciously agreed to host.  To learn more about a Sumbel, please consult the following link:  http://www.erichshall.com/asanew/sumbel.htm   Plan to bring your own libations and a snack type item to share.  Those who do not drink can also participate.  This is an informal moon so white robes will not be required.

Saturday Night - Lammas

Talent Show

Oh how we love the Talent Show! The Gods appreciate all talents. They gave us these gifts, and they like for us to use them. So if you can sing, recite, play an instrument, paint a picture, bake a pie, say your ABC's in Austrian, do a kata, have a collection, can name all the States, or can do an impersonation of Lindsay Lohan doing a Crab Walk, we want to see it. This is not a competition; this is an offering to the Gods. This is when we look into their faces, like children preforming for their parents and say "Look at the amazing things I can do with your gifts. You made me this wonderful, and I love"

Wickerman

This year we will be constructing the Wickerman's frame entirely out of our Maypole. We will be writing all the things we wish for the Gods to know about our achievements this year, and placing them within his woody frame. When we set him on fire our deeds will be sent to the ones we wish to hear it. We will dance, sing, and raise our accomplishments to the heavens.

Midnight Lunch

This Sabbat there is a meal included into the price of your ticket. Kelly's Kitchen will be facilitating a 'Midnight' Picnic for all the attendees. Please bring your spirits (ethereal and ethanol) and stories. People who eat and drink together form bonds of community, and emotion. Come enjoy the gnosh, and help form the bonds that will take us into the darker half of the year ;)

Farewells: 11am Sunday - Daniel and Bella
As we leave this place between the worlds to walk once more upon the ordinary ground, remember: What we have done here is ever a part of us. We are Power. We are Change. Our Circle is open, but never broken. Merry Meet! Merry Part! And Merry Meet Again! May the Craft preserve the Gods, as the Gods preserve the Craft!

The Details

Donations

We encourage you to consider that we each have a responsibility to contribute, so our wonderful community continues to grow, share and prosper.  We are always happy to accept cash donations, rather than have you go shop.  We are grateful when you share your surpluses, talents, and extras.  It takes all of us working together to make common resources for our magical community.  Donations appropriate for this time of year also include seeds, edible and magical plants, essential oils, Bach flower essences.

Camping/Arrival Times

Folks may arrive on the grounds starting at 12 noon on Friday.  Showers will not be available due to overstress on the plumbing system.  Upon arrival, please check in with Dusty for designated camping spaces.

Parking

If overflow parking is necessary, please park in the back parking lot of the church next door.  We have permission to park there.  Please do not park on the gravel road next the Covenstead.

 Drumming & Noise

We will be inside city limits.  Drumming will have to stop at 11pm.  We will be drumming and dancing both nights, followed by an adult flavored Bardic Circle.

Looking forward to a great Sabbat.  See you there.

Due to the economic crunch, and in an effort to encourage more local service, and less traveling, GPG, WSTS and WISE is hosting their events at the WISE Covenstead.  It's just perfect for everything we want to do.  May the Goddess bless your family with the resources to meet your needs during these challenging times.

Covenant of WISE, Church of Wicca - ATC, Inc.

It has been close to a decade that we have had the priviledge of serving the Goddess. May she continue to allow us to do Her work.

Our church was founded in 1999 by Rev. Belladonna Laveau, who had been called into service to teach and provide a public place for Wiccans to practice their faith. Offering her own family home, and it's 1 1/2 acres as a temple of worship.

Covenant of WISE is an affiliate of the Aquarian Tabernacle Church. Our Mother Church has been in existence for over 25 years, and sponsors many world-wide programs for Wiccans to enjoy.

Through many incarnations, we have grown both outwardly and introspectively. In additions to the public rituals, healings, counselings and services we have always offered, we now enjoy formal college accredited training opportunities from a host of qualified instructors for our clergy to be properly prepared for their ministry. Our children benefit from the highly successful SpiralScouts program. And we now have a public store front from which Bella can meet with and serve the community.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
